Thanksgiving is a time for us to reflect, count our blessings, and give thanks.  With the holiday quickly approaching, it is important to remember those less fortunate in our community. If you are looking for a way to give back this Thanksgiving, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department could use your help.

From now until Friday, November 17th, the department’s Community Outreach Unit will be collecting turkeys to help those in need in Bergen County.  Each year the Community Outreach Unit runs an annual turkey drive in an effort to strengthening its relationship with our community while helping those families in need.

The Unit is looking to collect 500 turkeys this year and needs your help.  If you have a turkey to donate and are unable to deliver it, please contact 201-336-3540 to schedule a pickup.  Monetary donations are also being accepted to the PBA Local 134 Civic Association.

From all of us at the BC Home Team, we would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.  If you are looking to buy or sell a home this holiday season, we’re here to help. Feel free to contact us directly at 201-345-7500 with any questions you may have.
