If you’re dreading how to keep everyone (including yourself) from going crazy during this week of break coming up, never fear! We have a great guide for some exciting Bergen County events for kids happening during Presidents’ Week. There’s plenty going on in the area to keep little minds engaged and parents from dreading a school holiday.
Keep the kids active and the boredom to a minimum with these fun events for everyone!
February 20 3:00-5:30 PM
Try your hand at one of these popular events. Join other 6-12th graders for a chance to figure out how to escape a room inside the library. Get out of the house, try some problem solving skills, and have a blast with others at this event.
February 24 1:00 & 3:00 PM
Join other kids at this interactive dance program. Get the wiggles out and learn with some fun music. Utilizing stuffed animals, dance, and games, this event will feed your child’s musical side!
February 19-23 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM
A week out of the classroom doesn’t have to mean a week without learning. Kids in grades 1-5 can explore the Tenafly Nature Center and participate in crafts and winter themed activities. There might even be a campfire with s’mores! Your kids will love this camp.
During the winter months, the Bergen County Zoo offers free admission! Take a day to bundle up and see the animals who brave the winter weather at the zoo. Take a break from watching TV to get outside and enjoy a brisk meander alongside the animals. You and your kids will love this opportunity to see the animals in winter.
February 19 (All Day)
If you’re in the mood for an outing, head over to the Paramus Library. Check out a few new books to enjoy over the winter break and participate in this drop-in craft. Stop by any time of the day to enjoy a craft for all ages!
February 21 1:00-3:00 PM
Who wouldn’t love to view a movie in the library? Check out this week’s cinematic showing at the Hasbrouck Heights Library. Enjoy a chance to enjoy a movie your kids may not have seen at this event for all ages.
